Wow, can you tell that I have been super busy and had forgotten about my poor, way neglected LJ? I must pamper this journal for neglecting it for as long as I have.

Since the last time I posted, my guy and I called it quits. I have a new guy and he's wonderful. The past few days we got hit pretty hard with a mojor snowstorm. He lives a good 40ish minutes away from me and he decided last night to pack his snow blower up and drive down here to blow all the snow away from my car, door and walkway. LOVING him so much right now. I should mention that he drove here knowing that the local enforcement officers warned everyone to stay off the roads unless it was essential. What a guy.

I leave for Las Vegas in a week and a few days. I'm so excited and looking forward to this trip. I'm going with my guy and 6 of our friends. Can't wait.

Again, it's been a long time. 11 weeks according to my front page. So much has happened...I've moved into a new place with my guy...he moved out...I enjoyed the peace and quiet in my house, my 4 bedroom house...he moved back in...who knows how it will go from here.

Two of my tv shows I watched this year ended. Veronica Mars, which I did get into until the 4th episode of the 2 season and Gilmore Girls. The sad parts of this story-I couldn't watch the last 4 episodes of each show due to my work schedules so I taped them. Labelled the tapes and put a sticky note on top of them "haven't watched yet". Left them with my tapes beside my tv in the living room figuring I'd be able to take an evening or something to watch them. The kicker-he taped over them! So instead of My VM & GG's, I have Holmes on Homes and varies other shows that I really don't care about. I know I could download the ones I've missed but I'm always afraid I'm going to get a virus or something. So I'm waiting for August(?) or whenever they come out on DVD.

8 more school days left...yay!

The daytime emmy's just ended, I found it rather blah...

Wow, it's been a while since I last wrote. So much going on in RL. I'm in the middle of helping my cousin plan her wedding, too many decisions to make for that. It's just over a month away. Every weekend this month has bee nspent driving the 2 hours to Toronto to look at the venue, to look at dresses, shoes, little tuxes for her son, etc...I tell you, when I decide to get married, it's going to be me, my guy and two witnesses...that's it!

Speaking of my guy, he's had a tough go of it lately. His parents decided to separate unfortunately a few months back, and then earlier this month, his mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. Fast moving lung cancer. And the sucky thing-she doesn't smoke. Did for about 2 years when she was younger but quit when she got pregnant with my guy. She had her own place, the house my guy grew up in, but it's now on the market and she's living with her son. I've got to tell you as sad as the circumstances are that led up to her living with him, I think it's great that when I go to visit, I don't have to do all the dishes or tidy up. She makes him do it before it gets to be the way it was.

I got a small promotion at work. I work at a women's residence and we are opening a new location for younger girls ages 16-24. They offered me the head position there. It's only a few more hours a week than I all ready have, but I'm looking forward to it.

At the end of April a few of my girlfriends and I are going to Niagara Falls for a fun weekend of gambling. Too bad it's not Vegas, but I promised my guy that when I went to Vegas I would go with him. And this trip is strictly for us girls. The casino that we are going to is usually pretty lucky for us. I can't wait.

I'm starting to get hooked on The Office. Jim, how do I love thee?

Got to get back to work, the big boss has just walked through the door.

Happy New Year!

This year I have decided to update this regularly. It's the first year in a long time that I have made some personal goals for myself...one being that I have cut out Mcdonalds. No more 'I'm too lazy to cook dinner, I'll just get Mickey D's'. I'm positive this will stick. I'll be healthier, not that I eat McDonalds everday or anything but I know that it isn't the best for me. Or my wallet. And since I'm going to Disneyworld I need to save up all the spare money I can.

My Christmas this year was green. No snow whatsoever. We had rain and no snow. I haven't had a green christmas since I moved here. 12 years ago. And I really don't think that one counted because it started to snow around dinner time that year.

Apparently I voiced the opinion to one of my family memeber that it would be cool if I had a chocolate fountain. 'cause I entertain with chocolate all the time? I think they had me confused with someone else because I received a chocolate fountain. A huge one. When I opened it, one of the relatives mentioned I would be hosting the superbowl party this year---NO WAY! I don't need rowdy people sholshing their drinks around in my living room. My place isn't that big, plus I'm not that big a football fan.

I should go, I have lots to do, I'm running a daycamp this week and it just seems like the day never ends with 18-29 following you around. Plus, I'm hoping to call it an early night tonight.

Look out Disney World, here I come!

I have always wanted to go to a Disney themed park or on one of their cruises, I'm not all that fussy and finally it is happening. May 31 I step off the plane and onto the wonderous grounds of Orlando Florida, enjoying 10 beautiful nights with my guy and all the sights that I can fill into my days. I can't wait. Do many things to think of, so many sights to see, so many bars to enjoy (I HOPE!)

Speaking of Disney, I spent my day doing nothing but watching High School Musical over and over again. I haven't had a day where I could lie in bed or on the couch and just watch movies in a long time. I had rented The Break Up & HSM last night and I have to say I was disappointed with The Break Up. Really disappointed. I wanted to watch Grey's Anatomy Season 1 but my sister has loaned her discs to a friend and the friend hasn't watched them yet. Geez, get on it all ready.

Halloween is on Tuesday. I'm not handing candy out at my place but I'm going to my parents to help my mom out with the mass amount of children they get there. I figure it's not worth handing out candy to maybe the 10 children I got last year.

This weekend I must have been wearing a BIG "take your crap out on me" sign somewhere on my body. I can't seem to see it but everyone else and their pet dog can. Since Saturday morning, I have been yelled at and freaked upon by at least 5 different people. They've freaked over some really weird crap too--one lady at work freaked out because she couldn't find a Minnie Mouse costume that another coworker was supposed to dig out for her, that got taken out on me, it was MY fault that person A didn't get to it on Friday. One person yelled at me cause she couldn't understand the firesafety rules we have in place at the shelter type place I work at. Another because her boyfriend didn't show up to pick her up for work and I suggested she take the bus so she wasn't late for work. Her reasoning for yelling at me was I was done work, I could have very easily driven her to work, but didn't...It's against the rules we have here. Plus, I wasn't going that way.

I went apple picking today, had to get away from cranky people. I had fun, I'm hoping I can coax my sister into making her awesome apple pie for Thanksgiving dinner next week. After apple picking I stopped by Home Hardware, my shelves were in, my dad's going to come by after work tomorrow and hang them. I honestly don't know what I would do if I didn't live in the same town as my dad. He knows how crazy I am about everythign have to be level, especially if I have t olook at it for a long period of time. I cannot hang anything straight to save my life. Posters, pictures, you name it, if I've hung it, it's not straight.

I was doing so great not getting into spoilers for the few shows I watch. So great, until someone at work let it slip about Gilmore Girls and what's going to happen down the road. I don't want to know anything this year...about any show I watch...

Can you believe it's all ready OCTOBER!

Camp is over! I'm so happy! Back to my regular child care job on Tuesday.

I finally got my Veronica Mars Season 2 discs the other day although I haven't had a chance to watch them all yet. I had to open the box and watch the last episode. A friend was visiting and had heard how amazing that episode was so she wanted to see it. Even though I know what happened, it was still eerie watching it. Can't wait for Season 3. And I have to say that I'm still spoiler free. Yay for me!

I didn't really pay much attention to it in the past but I have noticed I'm watching a lot more tv now. Or I will be when the newer shows start in the fall. My tv schedule will be something along these lines:

Mondays: CSI: Miami (I got sucked into this show by a friend)
Tuesdays: Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Law & Order:SVU, Dancing with the Stars
Wednesdays: One Tree Hill, Vanished, Dancing with the Stars Results show (they're still going to have this I imagine)
Thursdays: ER
Fridays: Law & Order
Saturdays: NOTHING that I feel the need to watch or tape.
Sundays: Have no idea what's on, there's only so much Extreme Home Makeover I can handle. I love the show but can only take it in small doses, unless Pauly is on. I love him.

I have a feeling that I'm going to be taping some shows while watching the others.

Only 10 more days of camp. 10 more days. I can do it. And if I try really hard, it's only 9.5 more days since I'm taking off early on Friday. Every year I always start running/working the summer camps thinking it's going to be the best summer possible...outside most of the day doing things like playing games with the kids and swimming in the afternoons with them, go on day trips with them on Wednesdays. Last year was an absolute blast, this year, not at all. The only highlight this year was the kids. Most of the kids. The girls that I worked with, the ones that impressed me so much during the interview process, were horrible. 2 of the 4 I worked with daily were more concerned about flirting with the lifeguards at the pool than they were about the children's safety in the water. The other 2 girls called in sick every other day or so. Daycamp is such a headache.

I just found out last night that my sister won a hotel suite in Toronto and she's taking me with her Friday night. It's got to be hard to work in a place where they have lots of draws for free hotel stays all over Canada and the U.S. Here at work, if we have a draw it's for maybe $25 in gift certificates for Costco. Is it wrong that I'm excited about 2 days off from work and time alone with my sister? It'll be the first time since the beginning of summer that we've had time together. Her guy Patrick will be staying home (YES!) and my guy will be doing his own thing.

Veronica Mars DVDs come out on Tuesday. I'm excited. I'll finally get to see the first episode from the second season.

Have to go get ready for the stag and doe we are going to tonight.

Boys are stupid. That's the conclusion I've come to after my guy ditched me and our pre made plans to go and hang out with his stupid friends at one of their garages ooohing and aawing over his beat up crap pile. It might sound petty of me but the ringers been turned off my phone and I'm going to head to bed shortly. I'm not available for any late night calls to him tonight, maybe even tomorrow night.

I did something I haven't done before this evening. I made strawberry jam. All by myself. Super simple, I'm actually wondering what stopped me from making it before, it's that easy.

I didn't realise how absolutely boring Friday night is on TV. There's nothing of interest on. Laguna Beach is playing in the background but it can't keep my attention.

Hockey awards were on last night. Joe Thorton won the MVP award (Hart Trophy) last night. This guy is an honest to goodness ass. The front page of our paper today had this creepy picture of him posing with his awards. Very creepy pic. I don't care that he's from here, still an ass.

Just came home from the hospital. My friend had a baby girl on Thursday night and she is just so precious. Envy Paige. A very unique and different name. It suits her. Although years down the road, she might have questions for her mom on the choice of name, but hey, it can be blamed on the drugs they give you.

It's hotter than heck here. And it sucks because as of yet, I don't have an airconditioner. I don't have enough outlets to even allow having one. My landlord keeps saying that more outlets wil lbe put in but he's been saying that for a year and a half. I'm thinking of having my brother in law come in and do the electrical work. When I woke up this morning it was 26 degrees celcius and feeling like it was 33. At noon it was feeling like 39. I don't like hot weather. Give me a snowstorm anytime over the humidity.

Summer camp starts in 14 days. I'm not ready for it to start that soon. My supplies haven't come in, a lot of the staff that were hired haven't finished their programming plans for the 9 weeks of camp and there's still so much advertising that needs to go out. Such a headache.

Some good news though, at the end of June I'm running away for two night to Toronto. I'm meeting up with two of my childhood friends and we're going to relax, unwind and get crazy. My sister came though and managed to book me a $550 a night room for $62. Great savings there. I love having a sister who works for a hotel reservation company. This hotel better be nice. Heck, I'll settle for them having a pool with a bar nearby. It's super close to a large shopping centre too, so that's part of the draw. Look out Le Royal Meridien King Edward, you're about to be invaded by a fun loving group of girls.

I'm fully convinced that the world is out to get me. The phone just rang and it's one of my coworkers, calling to tell me that her boyfriend, an ex of mine, asked her to marry him last night. She mentioned that she didn't want me to be blind sided at work tomorrow. Is it petty of me to want to smack her and him around? We broke up years ago, three to be exact. I'm happy in a relationship, I hadn't even seen this ex until we had a gathering for work and he showed up with her. he mae a big deal out of seeing me there and mentioned to her that we used to date. It's not a big deal to me, I understand that people move on. What my complaint is, is that she's the fourth person I know to have gotten engaged in the past week or so. I understand that people get engaged, that people are happy they've gottne engaged. Call me with your happy news, I will be happy for you, I will share in your happiness. Talk to me about your plans for your wedding if you have some, but please, please don't ask me when I'm going to get engaged. It'll happen when it happens. I believe that. Let me be happy with where my relationship is. Remember that while I've been with my guy for almost two years, we had a rocky patch a while back. Let us deal with our own issues. Don't call me up and say "we set our date for July 20, 2008...if you and ________ get engaged and want to shareour day with us, that would work for us." Not kidding, that happened earlier this week. When it happens, I'm not going to want to share the spotlight with another couple. Heck, when it happens, I just want to run off to Vegas or Niagara Falls and do everything quietly. Less hassle that way.

Here's a quick update on the murder situation that I mentioned a while back...they've now arrested 3 more people in Winnepeg, bringing the total number of suspects arrested to 8. 1 is out on bail as accesory after the fact. The OPP finally have left the area after 64 days of collecting evidence and watching the house. The tiny little village is being returned to normal.
